What better way to start the new decade than by giving our lab website a well-needed update! We will soon be posting new and exciting content about we get up to, both inside and outside the lab. But in the meantime, take a look at some of our most recent highlights…

Dan recently appeared on This Morning with Phil and Holly to discuss the importance of cancer immune therapies, with long term cancer survivor James Hull.

We had an epic lab ping pong tournament for our Christmas party, where PhD student Alexandros was the undisputed table tennis champion! Keep an eye out for him in at the next Olympics.

We went on a lab retreat to Llandudno in Wales and it didn’t rain! There’s a photo of us on the beach just to prove it.

The author Bill Bryson visited our lab to undertake research for his new book, The Body. As you can see  from the picture, he was thrilled to learn all about NK cells and microscopes.

Photographer Martin Parr visited our lab to take photographs for his exhibition at the Manchester Art Gallery. Here he is with some of our lab team at the opening of the exhibition, featuring the hand of PhD student Karoliina.
